Building a Genie agent by hand means a lot of setup: picking the right tables, writing descriptions, drafting instructions, defining benchmarks. Genie Code on Databricks handles all of it for you.

You just describe the agent you want and leave the rest to Genie Code, including which data to use.
From there it works on its own:

• Explores your tables and selects the ones that actually fit the use case
• Sets up everything an agent needs to be production-ready — descriptions, common questions, and general instructions
• Fills in the details that make answers accurate: example queries, filters, measures, and joins
