A time lapse of an artwork I made for a banner contest in the Bug Fables discord server.
The prompt was for a winter theme and was “Fireplace”!
Instead of drawing an actual fireplace, I was inspired by those videos of Yule logs and fireplaces that people put on sometimes and thought it would be a goofy idea to mimic those. Since they’re bugs, a phone’s heat could probably actually warm them up, so I had the idea that a smart phone had been modified to act as an actual heater and would display a video of a fireplace to make the warmth feel more authentic.
