As we continue our microadventure of section hiking the Little Loop of the Buckeye Trail in Northeast Ohio, we hiked through the Richfield Heritage Preserve as well as Brecksville Reservation and Bedford Reservation in Cleveland Metroparks. We spent the night at Cleveland Metroparks Ottawa Overlook Backcountry Sites. Ironically, as we were driving home at the completion of Section 2, we saw a Buckeye Trail thru-hiker. Lucas Smith was attempting to be the youngest person to solo thru-hike the Buckeye Trail. Section 2: Medina Line Road/303 to Egbert Picnic Area, Bedford Reservation: 23.5 miles (37.5 total miles on Buckeye Trail).
