Doing your first roll in current, under pressure, is a game-changing moment for any paddler. And a live-saving skill. For Carmen, it's a big goal of her time at Paddle Tribal Waters Academy.
In addition to getting their high school education, Carmen and her fellow students at Paddle Tribal Waters Academy are practicing up their skills for the big one: the first source-to-sea descent of the recently undammed Klamath River taking place this July.
