Sorry for no commentary. This is quite an awkward one. This particular 21 tier strategy has a big dependence on RNG. Now there is a 20/21 tier strategy with dartlings, but I know the 21 Tier darling one is much slower than using Super mines. I’d assume the 20 Tier strategy is very hard to execute, although I may try it at some point if it looks like 21 tiers won’t suffice for top 50.
Side note:
Events like this are why the LT system is very poor. The go-to strategy has a dependence on RNG and can cost you 1000s of MM without warning. (I hope this video can help mitigate that. It’s worked 3 times for me using these Smines placements.) But, this not only makes it annoying to play, it also gives a huge disadvantage to players who aren’t using ‘Saves’ to recover their MM and forces people to either give up, or pay for MM. While a great business move for NK, I don’t think this should be what bosses stand for. Not to mention the lack of excitement and variety in strategies, particularly for normal. Everyone will either be using dartlings or Smines.
The concept of LT/LC isn’t actually bad, but I don’t think it should replace the previous timed event system. Rather, it should be separate, ie placed into CT, say, or displayed as a separate event entirely.
