A colorwork yoke with tactile appeal keeps the stitches simple; knits, purls and slip stitches are all that are needed to create a sweater full of dimension. Bands of textured stitches combine to create a “motte” stitch, mounded purl bumps fortified with a slip stitch surround.
Keep the texture in the foreground by knitting in a single color, or add in contrasting colors as we've done to shift the perspective.
