Mr Blobbys Abandoned House - Dunblobbin Crinkley Bottom - 2014 duckruls 2014-01-04 | Mr Blobbys abandoned house at Cricket St Thomas, Somerset, UKMr Blobbys Theme Park at Cricket St Thomas was open in 1994 and closed in 1996.It then reverted back to a wildlife park which closed in 2009, the animals were re-homed although we seem to remember there being some controversy over some animals being destroyed rather than re-homed! From 2010 it was advertised as a Hotel and gardens that could be visited, the gardens appear to have only lasted a short while, the hotel and leisure complex is owned by Warner, the hotel is adults only.If you go there now it's free to walk around the grounds but there is not much there, some signs of the old wildlife park remain but a lot of it it overgrown and not maintained, an award winning display garden with a sign saying 2010 is overgrown, a pond with waterfall is not working and contains stagnant water.If you can remember the wildlife park you would be quiet sad to see how it is now, it's still a nice piece of countryside but nothing compared to what it was, it's a pity Warner Leisure Hotels decided to take this route with the park.

Fabia VRS - SMF Rattle duckruls 2016-07-10 | Max Torque Single Mass Flywheel (SMF) and 6 paddle clutch rated to 400lbs torqueClutch and flywheel = 16.5kgFlywheel = 10.3kgOriginal Sachs Dual Mass FLywheel (DMF) amd uprated Sachs clutchClutch and flywheel = 18.7kgFlywheel = 12.8kgAs I have had two DMF's fail I decided to take the plunge and go for a SMF, I have been in two minds about it for a while now but as I don't like doing clutch changes I decided I needed a tougher solution than just putting in another DMF!The first DMF to fail was an original Sachs fitted with an uprated Sachs organic clutch, the DMF was rattling for nearly 2 years before I replaced it and was getting worse towards the end, the Sachs uprated clutch still had plenty of life left in it.The second DMF to fail was a reconditioned and uprated 2.0 tdi flywheel and VW Transporter clutch, I thought this was the ideal solution as it retained a DMF but within 2000 miles it was rattling and got worse very quickly, luckily I got a refund on this setup.Having run failing DMF's for so long the noise from the SMF is not so bad for me but I think it will be quiet a surprise if someone went from a good DMF to a SMFI think you just need to accept that you are going to get noise with the SMF, if you cannot take it then stick to DMF but be prepared to change them every few years.Car Specs:2005 Fabia VRSAirtec FMICProfi-Diesel short log type exhaust manifold and Decat downpipeGarrett GTB1756vkStealth EGR deleteCustom re-map 240 bhp, 350Lbs torque

Suzuki RGV 250M Finished.....Maybe duckruls 2014-08-25 | I am restoring a Blue/White 1991 RGV250M, this video is the bike completed, 3rd run out and around 50 miles covered.First trip out was 8 miles to get MOT, betwen 4-5k rpm it had no power at all, tracked the problem down to having the air solenoid pipework connected the wrong way around.2nd trip out all was ok, taking it very easy to give pistons chance to bed in.3rd time out started to give it a bit more throttle, starts to pull good from 6k rpm and power once at 8k rpm is very strong, better than I remember the previous RGV I owned was, probably down to the good compression of the re-plating and new pistons.The Dunlop Qualifier H (160/60 R17) rubs on the chain, I have measured the tyre width and it is actually 170mm wide, I have called Dunlop and they informed me they follow the ETRTO tyre standards and the specifications for a 160/60 R17 tyre says it can be anything up to 177mm wide. The curvature and width of tyre affect stability etc and depending on the target market for the tyre they can use different widths as long as it stays within the ETRTO specifications. I am going to get a 150/60 fitted ASAP as I cannot get the wheel aligned without it badly rubbing the chain and I will never be happy with it like this.Since getting it running I have also changed the clutch cable and fitted a slightly longer release arm as the clutch was very heavy to operate, I had re-used the old clutch cable but this was a false economy.The bike has been fully checked over since this video and I had to re-adjust the power valve cables and oil pump cable as they were both slightly out of spec, apart from that all was ok.

Suzuki RGV 250M Modifying Lockset So That One Key Fits All Locks duckruls 2014-07-08 | I am restoring a Blue/White 1991 RGV250M, this video shows how I have modified the existing locks so that one key operates all 3 locks.The bike came with an ignition key, separate fuel cap key and no key for the passenger seat lock.By removing and dismantling the lock barrels it is possible to modify the locks so that they will work with one key, I have retained the ignition key and modified the fuel cap and passenger seat locks to work with this key
Suzuki RGV 250M 2nd Start-Up and Oil System Bleed duckruls 2014-05-18 | I am restoring a Blue/White 1991 RGV250M, this video shows the 2nd start-up and the 2 stroke oil system being bled out.The fuel being used is pre-mixed at around 30:1 to protect the engine while the oil system bleeds out.I am using Motul 710 2 stroke oil.There is an oil bleed screw at the oil pump to ensure there is no air in the pipe between tank and oil pump.To be confident that there is no air in the main oil feed pipes from the pump to the engine I disconnected the pipes at the engine, run the engine and pull the oil pump control cable to full flow, once oil is dripping from the pipes they can be reconnected and you know for sure oil is getting to the engine.As can be seen from the video two pipes had oil flow before the other two, overall it must have been 10 minutes before all pipes had oil flow.This proves if you just jumped on a bike after messing with the oil system you could be running with no oil getting to the engine for 10 minutes or so!!!

Suzuki RGV 250M Wheel Restoration duckruls 2014-03-05 | I am restoring a Blue/White 1991 RGV250M, this video shows the Front Wheel being prepared ready for the rebuild.The original RGV front wheel has been replaced with a Suzuki RF600 wheel, this allows a wider front tyre to be used and so opens up the choice of more modern tyres.Lots more work has already been done and I may do further video's if I can be bothered to edit them all together.
Suzuki RGV250M Frame Restoration duckruls 2014-02-05 | I am restoring a Blue/White 1991 RGV250M, this video shows the frame being prepared ready for the rebuild.The shock mounting was cracked (common RGV problem), the frame had marks in the anodising so I have polished the main spars and painted the remaining part of the frame.Lots more work has already been done and I may do further video's if I can be bothered to edit them all together.

Carpro Cquartz UK Alloy Wheel Test Part 3 duckruls 2013-11-04 | 31 weeks and 7500 miles covered.The mad beading has pretty much gone, the wheels are still easy to clean and the water seems to sheet off now rather than beading.I have used Reload twice on the wheels now and it does not appear to make much difference, I was under the impression that Reload was a stand alone sealer but this is not my experience of it, as a seperate test I did half the bonnet with Reload and the other half with collinite 476, 2 weeks later the reload side did not bead at all and the water did not run off at all, it looked like a panal that had no protection on it which was a bit disappointing.

Carpro Cquartz UK Alloy Wheel Test Part 2 duckruls 2013-07-13 | 16 Weeks 3500 miles covered so far.Wheels are definitely staying cleaner between washes, washing them is also easy as the dirt does not stick to the wheels.Going to use Reload next wash as the beading is slowly deteriorating, Reload should restore the beading and extend the life of the coating.So far I am very happy with the Cquartz UK on the wheels.I have started to do the rest of the car with it (in stages as the panels need machine polishing before application), I have found the car panels harder to do and have got some marks were the coating is inconsistent, I think this is more my problem than the Cquartz and could be caused as the outside temp is hot (makes a change for the UK) and the coating is drying to quickly before i have chance to buff it to a consistent level/finish.

Carpro Cquartz UK Alloy Wheel Test duckruls 2013-04-01 | DIY refurb of my alloy wheels and have been looking for a good sealer to keep them looking good, after lots of research on detailingworld.co.uk I decided on CarPro Cquartz UK.This video is after the first 250 miles of use, seems to be less brake dust than usual and the beading is ace.The process used:1. Wheels painted and lacquered with Wurth products, left 24 hours to dry2. Cquartz UK applied and left for 1 hour3. 2nd coat of Cquartz applied and left for 24 hours4. Reload applied, left for 10 minutes5. 2nd coat of Reload appliedAlso cleaned the brake calipers and wiped them over with Reload.
Camaro Raspberry Pi Web Server duckruls 2013-01-19 | Been running a web server at home for 10 years and wanted to find a low power option, came across the Raspberry Pi (credit card size computer for under £30) which fits the bill perfectly.Its so small I started to think about housing it in something other than a box and decided on a Camaro, using the GPIO (General-Purpose Input-Output) which is built into the Pi I thought it would be cool to flash the headlights when the web page is accessed, different combinations of flashed = different pages being opened:One long flash = home page2 short flashes = weather station page1 short flash = car or bike pages3 quick flashes = Raspberry Pi page4 quick flashes = do not click pageThe Pi is running 'headless' (no monitor/mouse/keyboard) it is accessed via main PC using putty.It running Lighttpd/mysql/php for the web server and pywws software for the weatherstation.
