Deaf poet Paul Scott's signed poem (in British Sign Language) "Three Queens" tells of important events in deaf history during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. It was performed at the Arnolfini Arts Centre in Bristol in September 2009.
The poems in this channel are part of the collection made as the University of Bristol Sign Language Poetry Anthology with the aim to study metaphor in sign language poetry. The poem is discussed in the book Introducing sign language literature folklore and creativity, by Rachel Sutton-Spence and Michiko Kaneko, published by Palgrave press.
