Portland firefighters quickly put out a large brush fire Tuesday evening in the median of Interstate 405 and Highway 26 near the tunnel. No injuries were reported, and there is no word yet on what sparked the fire. Officials note that the median is a known site for homeless encampments. Aside from burned trees and bushes, there is no word on any further damage or injuries.
