Found under an Adirondack chair in the backyard, right next to a few eggs sacs.
I have found dozens of them over the years, and even a handful of black widows. They hang out in vinyl siding, around gutters, in garage corners, under outdoor furniture and hose reels.
After some research I've noticed that some have said varying things about the danger of the bite and comparisons to black widows. My bottom line is that they all agree that the brown widow can bite, and it's not pleasant. I have kids, so therefore I eliminate them when I see them.
