After watching a brown bear scooping grass, decided to help a couple accomplish that goal. It was obvious these bears were fed by visitors; they begged. This ornery bear had an open mouth jaw taunt that looked and sounded exactly like the insect ALIEN from the movie "ALIENS"; you'll notice it when you see it. Very Cool Look.
One female did a Kung Fu Panda Po punch and tagged me. Wasn't expecting it, but did no damage. Was impressed with the speed and accuracy of her strike; she really put her shoulders into it.
This was at the Targu Mures Zoo in Romania. I love the accessibility of European zoos though not a fan of captivity without proper space. This bear enclosure was recently expanded and very large. This one staging area led into a HUGE forest behind.
