Let Brooke introduce you to a very important collaborator: Mavis the Chihuahua. She is Brooke's producer Leggy’s dog and was her daily dose of dog cuddles in the studio while making the upcoming album, Better By Now. There is a lot of footage of Mavis, because she was nearly always sitting on Brooke's lap when listening back to takes. These moments were captured through the lens of Brooke's friend and dog lover, Mike Gill. Besides him, it was just the producer (Leggy Langdon) and Brooke in the studio. Mike managed to capture a glimpse of what it feels like during that magical creative process and the fun that was had while bringing these songs to life. Before Brooke was first able to release this footage, Mike unexpectedly passed in May of 2022. So many memories of making this record involve Mike's companionship and his conversation.
