This was my first time attending the 7UP Ranch Fly-In in Kansas, and it definitely didn't disappoint!
Thanks to @dtwyckoff for putting the event on and letting me fly his Kitfox to the event. The arrival was one of the wildest landings I've ever experienced—with 45 mph crosswinds—and I was sitting in the left seat!
While I was there, I got a tour of his dad's incredible tractor collection, nearly lost a finger to a giant snapping turtle, watched some impressive river bar landings, and enjoyed countless amazing flybys from some of the best bush planes around.
The 7UP Ranch Fly-In has an awesome atmosphere, great people, and some incredible flying. It's definitely a fly-in you'll want to put on your calendar for next year!
