The vehicle was hard to start cold or hot, slight smell of gas when started, rough idle, long term fuel trim was -30 which can only be to counter a rich condition. The problem was the fuel pressure regulator was bleeding fuel into the vacuum lines.

Interestingly enough, the vehicle still had power and was still getting very good economy on the highway. I suspect the amount of gas leaking into the vacuum lines didnt need much accounting for at load conditions, only low-power/idle.

Of course fixing this reveals another problem. I have a fuel injector that isnt seated therefore leaking a LOT of air into it. So I suspect the computer LTFT is now going to be positive to account for the vacuum leak. Too bad the top of the engine has to come off just to reseat a friggin injector.
