The Brock String is a vision therapy exercise used after concussion to improve eye teaming, depth perception, and visual focus. When the eyes don’t work together properly, the brain receives conflicting visual information—often worsening dizziness, headaches, and motion sensitivity. Training convergence and alignment with the Brock String helps restore visual stability and reduce dizziness during daily activities.
How to Perform:
Secure one end of the string at eye level and hold the other end at your nose. Place several beads along the string. Focus on the bead closest to you until you see one bead with two strings forming an “X” at that bead. The strings should cross exactly where you are looking. Slowly shift your focus to the middle bead, then the far bead, maintaining the “X” each time. If the strings appear uneven or do not cross at the bead, refocus until alignment improves. Perform for short intervals, stopping if symptoms significantly increase.
