In another instance of me being a fallible human being, I had forgotten to plug in my mic to my OBS, it sucks as we had a great conversation before I realized what was happening. But the conversation we had after I turned it on was really damn good too.
Welcome to 2024, ladies, gentlemen, and others! Britton's Hang Out Hour comes back in full swing as I talk with more guests. The first guest of 2024 is Andrew D. Meredith, audiobook narrator, indie author, cool English teacher impersonator, and we had a great conversation about a great many topics. He was a graceful and eloquent gentleman, while nodding politely at my jabbering. Topics we covered included how we approach criticism, his career as a writer and audiobook narrator, he recommended some books to me that he thought I would enjoy, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, Warhammer 40k and the fandoms we obsess over, if there are differences between indie and traditional publishing, some of my issues with modern criticism and discourse on the internet, and so much more!
