We’re thrilled to announce that we will be releasing 11 newly remastered back-catalogue albums, all in the virtual surround sound of Spatial Audio!

Benjamin Britten’s ‘War Requiem’ was one of the defining works of the twentieth century. Written for the re-dedication of Coventry Cathedral, which was destroyed during the Second World War, Britten presents a piece in protest of the violence of war and the futility of conflict. This message of anger, tension, and cautious hope and optimism is brilliantly captured by conductor Gianandrea Noseda, and holds as much power today as when it was written.

We will be performing ‘War Requiem’ at the BBC Proms on 17 August with Sir Antonio Pappano, but you can stream the album today to hear Britten’s monumental work as if you were right in the concert hall with us:
