Many React Native developers have tackled the accessibility basics: labels, roles, and hints. But when it comes to animations, accessibility is not always part of the conversation. This talk changes that. We'll look at practical patterns for making some common animated interactions work with VoiceOver and TalkBack, not against them. Using Reanimated's accessibility APIs, we'll cover Reduce Motion settings, screen reader navigation of animated UI, and a handful of gestures your components may need to support on both iOS and Android. You'll leave with patterns you can take back to your codebase the same week.
