With their replacement approaching one train unit each from three fleets of trains built by British Rail in the 1970's and 1980's - Classes 313, 507, 455 - were repainted in their original blue / grey livery, albeit with contrasting colour doors so as to comply with present-day door visibility regulations.
This film shows these three trains - 313 201, 507 001, and 455 868 - plus some of the liveries these trains wore during their working life.
Also seen is 313 201 whilst it was numbered 313 101 and 313 001 !!!
Some of the Class 455 views also include a Class 508 trailer, however the train unit that was repainted in heritage blue / grey livery comprises solely Class 455 carriages.
