Watchkeeper, the Army's next-generation unmanned aerial system, has been cleared to begin military flight training with the Royal Artillery. Gathering crucial information from the battlefield, Watchkeeper will provide UK troops with life-saving surveillance, reconnaissance and intelligence. It will also give personnel on the ground much greater situational awareness, helping to reduce threats.

![Royal Marines on Exercise Black Alligator #2 [HD]
Royal Marines have carried out live firing exercises by staging a mock dawn raid on an enemy village (25 October 2013).
40 Commando Royal Marines are currently taking part in Exercise Black Alligator in the Mojave Desert, California.
They are in the USA to hone their warfighting skills alongside their US colleagues at the sprawling US Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Centre, which has nearly 1,000 sq miles of ideal training ground.
