The Domestic Terminal’s southern retail upgrade has brought to life new venues manned by chefs changing the face of airport dining. ‍

One such venue is ‘Local’, a bar and restaurant that draws inspiration from the warm hospitality of a Queensland beer garden and incorporates our state’s world-class local produce into its dishes.

SSP Australia & New Zealand Executive Chef Zac Ahrens and Head Chef Marianne Reyes are dedicated to sharing our local flavours, serving up a delectable array of fresh, locally-sourced, high-quality dishes cooked straight from the heart.

Next time you’re travelling through the terminal, don’t miss the chance to try Local’s Avo Toast Affair made with Halloumi from award-winning, Coorparoo-based producers Olympus Cheese.

Find Local in the Domestic Terminal, Level 2, near gate 43 (after security)
