Some detailed thoughts on my Silva Exceed 2XT rechargeable Headlamp which I have owned and used extensively for over 4 years. I also compare and contrast the Exceed 2XT to the current 3XT and previous Sprint 1030 Lumen headlamp from Silva, which I purchased back in 2014.
I have been wild camping for 25 years using many headlamps from leading brands such as Petzyl, Ledlenser, and Black Diamond. I discuss the lumen output, and runtimes appropriate for long winter walk- ins to wild camp along with outlining some of the mistakes that I have made along the way.
