Mexodus, created and performed by Robinson and Quijada, tells the story of the Underground Railroad the led to Mexico, following an enslaved man who escapes bondage by crossing the Rio Grande. Robinson and Quijada play all the characters in the show, and play all the music—with the help of a looping station that allows them to create the arrangements for every song in the show live in front of the audience every night
The musical is currently enjoying an encore run Off-Broadway until June 14, after which it will tour to Baltimore Center Stage in Maryland, American Repertory Theater in Massachusetts, and other to-be-announced venues.
