Fotokorinzu is the fourth album and first double album by Brey, also known as BreyDT. It revolves around a city covered in white and shades of turquoise blue, clouds the shapes of cubes, as if they're trying to play Tetris. In Fotokorinzu, there are hobbies, interests, and experiences of choice that can be heard through each track, as well as an expression of this alternative life where Fotokorinzu exists, suppose if it ever comes to us.
The concept behind Fotokorinzu dates back to early-2022, originally titled "Utopia", but a McDonalds worker named Travis Scott took it, so I then titled it "Problem Solved" as the alternative title, which was the set name for approximately two years. It wasn't until the start of 2025, shortly after the release of my third album, Journey of a Beginner Guitarist, I started coming up with tracks for this album, and when I came up with Fotokorinzu, I knew there, it was the best name for this fictional city. While I didn't work on the cover art until January of 2026, the vision for the cover has been in my mind since late-2022, around the time I originally titled it "Problem Solved" and I'm really happy with how it came out.
The city design was inspired by several video games: the aesthetics was primarily inspired by Superhot, and my first exposure to such aesthetics was from a game called Rubik's World, a childhood game I played a lot as a young little fella. The design and atmosphere has been stuck with me ever since. The cubical clouds was inspired by the Nuketown map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, except they're not orange and blue. That would be cringe.
