I am pretty critical of Brett Kean here. I do not want to drive him off of Youtube. I hope he will come back after resting a few weeks and continue making his videos. However, I hope he will take constructive criticism by other atheists to heart and that he will modify his behavior accordingly. Nobody is above criticism, and to say "you shouldn't criticize me publicly or you'll hurt atheism" is wrong, especially when you go and criticize other atheists.

Around the same time, the real Hardcaseownsyou sent Brett an email saying he didn't like what Brett was doing and challenging him to a debate. Brett confused the two and told the real Hardcase to fuck off and informing him that he was blocked. This caused the real Hardcase to post his video "owning" Brett. Brett then mischaracterized Hardcase's legitimate criticism as a pure hate video.

Nick publicly criticized Brett in a mild, measured, and on target manner. Brett can't attack Nick's atheist credentials. So he seems to be making a bizarre claim that Nick has lost the right to criticize him publicly because he has helped Nick in the past.
Update: Brett just removed the videos in which he attacked Nick and Hardcaseownsyou, thus removing evidence of his unjustified attacks and sending them down an Orwellian Memory Hole forever. Very sad.
Update 2: Brett has blocked me from commenting on his videos and I will be unsubscribing from him in a few days. I would unsubscribe from him today but I just want to keep an eye out to see if he makes any more videos relevant to this controversy. Censorship is the refuge of someone with something to hide.
