Time for a new song! To continue on a more chilled vibe here we go with a liquid Dubstep track (but I'll put that one in Chillstep as it's too smooth to fit in the Dubstep category). Half Way is the only "Dubstep" song Breeze Block have uploaded on the internet. Although it was a different tempo than his usual vibe, it fitted in with his other tunes quite nicely.
"I was going for a euphoric sort of feel which I hope I captured. It was mainly made on ipod headphones (but obviously mixed down on monitors, of course). I intend to up the standard of production on this net tune which is why its taking me a while, but watch this space :)"

But who's that Breeze Block? Hailing from Brighton, UK, that guy is a 20 years old electronic producer. He has been in the field for a few years now but has only been starting to work more seriously on his career in the last year. At the moment, Breeze Block is running Logic Pro with a number of hand picked plugins including Native Instruments Komplete. He also uses an Axiom 61 keyboard to programme his MIDI and use the Mackie hr624 mk2 as a monitoring solution!
Breeze Block influences include artists such as Danny Byrd, Brookes Brothers, Fred V & Grafix, Camo & Crooked and all the rest... But he also finds inspiration from those of other genres, especially when he gets producers block, he then tends to go for something a bit different like on this track. His passion lies with liquid Drum and Bass but he appreciates most sub genres of DnB as well as a load of different genres including Hip-Hop, Dubstep, Electro House, Reggae, etc.
His special touch? Breeze Block tries to include a more melodic side (usually through the use of live instrumentation) to accompany the energetic dancefloor beat and bass as it's important for him and it makes his tunes appropriate for home listening as well as clubs.

To celebrate the opening of The BBC Music website, we are proud to present our first mix of five exclusive songs. The mix is also joined to Volltures EP How to stop a heart and Deaf Professors album Hold the title, both on exclusivity! A lot of premiere today with a brand new layout for the music videos, a brand new website, our first EP and album the same day!
Id like to thanks everyone who participated and encouraged us in this project!
Still Frozen is a group composed by two guys hailing from Finland, Petri Hautala and Tuomas Jokela. Both of them were interested in heavy music in elementary school, inspired by bands like Children Of Bodom and In Flames. We can still feel the influences of such groups in their music nowadays, mixing their electronic-dnb production with that metal rock flavor. Over the years, their music interests obviously changed more to electronic dnb music and the last rivet to the world of drum and bass was nothing less but Pendulums radio hit Watercolour. Petri and Tuomas have been doing music together for about half a year now as the duo Still Frozen and already proved their skills on the field. They also had separate side projects but definitely had more success working together.

For some, music is just a variety of sounds organized in an harmonious way, a mean to express feelings or a tangible vibration of pleasure and emotions. But for even fewer people, music transcends life, it flows through air to touch peoples heart and never stop to resonate in the infinite universe and space. Those are the ones who really weave their creativity to some sort of sacred soundscape and elevate their production to an holy state. Pharos, is one of them. Music is the stimulus that we are all exposed to. What lives makes music : from the crackling of crawling ants to the whispering of wind and trees. You cant deny it and its up to your own self to be sensitive to your environment, to what surrounds you, how the music affects you, your thoughts, your mood. But you are probably wondering why am I talking about all of this, right? When I first heard Filthy Keys, I was simply astonished by the quality of the track. The musical flow is deep and intense : Within the first notes of piano, your heart floats over the sound, traveling with the intro to a fantastic world of epicness. But be aware, the intricate break beat drums are not going to let you fall asleep on this journey! All the song during, you are taken to places you would never have thought of, result of a luxuriant creativity and a meticulous attention given to every dimension of Phaross masterpiece. This one is no casual Dubstep song. Filthy Keys tells a story where you are the main character. The contrast between the name savor and the mood of the music is surprising, do not fool yourself, the only thing that is filthy here is Phaross lack of imperfection!
But hey... Who is Pharos? Before going any farther let us recall some history facts! The Lighthouse of Alexandria, also known as the Pharos of Alexandria , was a tower built between 280 and 247 BC on the island of Pharos at Alexandria, Egypt. Its purpose was to guide sailors into the harbour at night time. With a height variously estimated at somewhere in-between 393 and 450 ft (120 and 140 m), it was for many centuries among the tallest manmade structures on Earth. It was also one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Pharos probably was inspired by this historical wonder when he thought of his alias. This amazing electronic producer answers to the name of Brian Murphy and come from Seattle, in the United States. Pharos have worked with music for a long time now, starting with breakbeats on Fruityloops in about 97sh. He also went to school for audio production at Full Sail in 2002 and started working with hip hop from then on till about 4 months ago. His productions now pretty much hang all around dubstep and for him... its addicting to say the least.

A fresh drum and bass track to start this week on a very chilled vibe. nCamargo is a 16 year old upcoming producer from Brazil, Rio Grande Do Sul.
Born in 1994, the brazillian Nicolas Camargo was surrounded by many musical influences on his family. He started to discover his interests in eletronic music in 2000, but discovered Drum and Bass in 2009. It was the year that nCamargo discovered his deepest love in the eletronic music genre, after listening to a radio show on the online radio Bassdrive. On the start of 2010, he decided that production was the path he would take, and now on 2011, hes getting support worldwide from the online dnb radios like bassdrive and dnbheaven, from youtube promoters and soundcloud listeners/djs around the world.
