We've gone over the evidence pointing Breath of the Wild to a possible "inevitable" timeline for all 3 splits in the first part. Now it's time to look at the Zelda timeline overall and how Breath of the Wild fits into it.

The Zelda timeline overall had been up to debate for years even before Nintendo's acknowledgement of it. But when an official timeline was released within the book Hyrule Historia, some had their doubts as to how valid it was.

New splits and games have been added as well as moved around in an attempt to "fix" the timeline. But even then, not all the problems have been fixed.

But how does Breath of the Wild fit into all this? Can it somehow be used to fix the timeline for future Zelda titles? Today we look deeper into that in the second part of the Breath of the Wild timeline theory!
