The last remaining part of the Earl of Zetlands hull was broken down and scrapped on a piece of waste land next to the Royal Quays Marina in North Shields where she had been docked for over 20yrs. This was the completion to a project that started in October 2020.

The Zetland was very expensive to maintain and towards the end it was an effort just to break even and with the pressures of Covid, scrapping was the only option.
