WWE entered the fall of 2009 looking for a fresh start. PPV buys were falling, UFC was taking over, and apparently the solution was to turn every pay-per-view into a gimmick event, and what better way to start than with a show based around SUBMISSIONS!
It was supposed to be the start of a new era, new stars were going to get pushed, Legacy in a big stipulation match, CM Punk closing the show against the Undertaker and also... it was time to cement Cena vs Orton as the biggest rivalry of the era. New show, new concept, new era... yet Breaking Point only lasted one year. Breaking Point 2009 WAS HILARIOUS!
