Just announced by Warner Bros Discovery - Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, and Philippa Boyens - the writing team behind the massively successful The Lord of the Rings trilogy, is returning to produce the first of their new slate of Middle-earth films!

The film is in early script development and is expected to release in 2026.
