**Sarada Uchiha suffered far more during the Boruto time skip than Two Blue Vortex originally revealed, and new information from Boruto mangaka Mikio Ikemoto finally explains what those missing three years were actually like for her.
After Ada's Omnipotence rewrote everyone's memories of Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki, Sarada and Sumire remained immune. Momoshiki warned Boruto that the people unaffected by Omnipotence could ultimately suffer the most, and Sarada may be the perfect example of what he meant.
While Sumire deliberately avoided drawing attention to herself, Sarada refused to stay quiet. She publicly defended Boruto, called Kawaki a fraud, attempted to convince Konoha that everyone's memories were wrong, and even distributed photographs of Naruto holding Boruto as a baby. None of it was enough to overcome Omnipotence.
Ikemoto has now revealed that Sarada likely endured slander, threats, and even graffiti being placed on the Uchiha family's home. Sasuke's controversial history made the situation even worse after he abandoned Konoha alongside Boruto, leaving Sarada to defend both her father and her friend against a village that believed they were traitors.
This new information also adds another layer to Sarada's dramatic Two Blue Vortex design. Her Uchiha earrings openly represent Sasuke, while Sarada deliberately purchasing a jacket similar to Boruto's takes on much greater emotional significance after learning what she endured while defending him.
Sarada spent three years putting her reputation, safety, and dream of becoming Hokage at risk because she refused to abandon Boruto when the entire world turned against him.
