BREAKING NEWS - Watch #LIVE from Paris, France - X ‘#YellowVest’ (#GiletsJaunes) protests continue in Paris for the tenth week in a row - ‘Yellow Vest’ protesters are demonstrating in Paris for the tenth week in a row. 

The Yellow Vest movement emerged spontaneously in November 2018 after French President Emmanuel Macron announced controversial hikes in fuel prices to encourage a transition towards greener energy.

Despite the French government suspending the prices hikes and announcing increases to the minimum wage, protests have continued. 

Over 2,000 people have been arrested since the demonstrations began and 10 have died, the vast majority of the deaths being due to collisions between protesters and vehicles.
