Also in 1998 D-Generation X was completely revamped with Triple H taking over as leader, Sable continued to rise in popularity (to the detriment of Marc Mero), Mankind was involved in one of the most memorable Cell matches in WWE history, and The Rock became a main event player when he won the WWF Championship at Survivor Series.
