Dororo is one of my favorites from this year. 2019 as a whole was a great year for new animes. They all hold great stories. I was looking back at them and selecting some for a new years video and placing the ones which impacted me the most and Dororo must be in 3rd place or smth, not done yet with my list.
I started watching this show when its episodes were releasing but for some reason I stopped keeping up with it and I just returned to it a few days ago, watched it all in one go. I must say, the ending is so. SO good. IT MADE ME CRY.
Ofc this show has its flaws, ngl, but overall, it was great and gorgeous. Main reason must be due to Dororo and Hyakkimaru's relationship, I really love their dynamic and how they both care for each other, it makes my heart warm.
Must say tho, the adaptation was really well made, for a manga from the late 60's.
Probably going to unlist later.
