This video is me & Samplay going through the TTRC6 stages in coop mode. Now some trivia:
We started like 1 or 2 weeks after TTRC6 ended IIRC, but played very irregularly (in total we put 20+ hours each)
Played on the slippi rollback coop code by Khronos
At first we thought to go for "the best character combo" for each stage, but eventually decided to go for a cool rule that brings character diversity but isn't really arbitrary either : use ttrc6 char + vanilla char. That makes Fox and Pika teammates twice too :happysquare:
We decided to make this a secret project but we also considered streaming our runs, was a tough call
Misfire code wouldn't work, we assumed it was a fizzi anti-cheat patch, BUT sockdude's peach downb manipulation code did work
Fixed cam is ON by default but we realized you can free the camera by pausing, so we used that on Mario/IC. Few months later we realized the pause is not working anymore, probably a fizzi patch that happened meanwhile or something. The pause also caused a lot of desyncs somehow when we grinded Mario/IC
Slippi randomly gives Port 1 / Port 2, but in order to save some frames we had to mind the ports for each stage (spawn on the left vs spawn on the right)
Last but not least, Port 2 makes your character spawn airborne, which we used to our advantage for some stages like that doc/dk frame 1 waveland. We wished it wasn't a thing but it was
