TURN ON THE ANNOTATIONS
Less of a tutorial, more of a demonstration. This is just showing how to make an animation (video is sped up x4, real time it took about 20 minutes). The one shown in the video is for Viewtiful Joe's Viewtiful God Hand (when he lands the hit). It pairs with the previous animation (as seen at the end of the vid). Not the best animation, but it'll do for demonstration purposes. Hope it's not too fast =P
Music: Summertime in London - Dudley Theme Remix
Tips:
1) When animating, always refer to a source. As you saw in the video, I was referring to a MvC3 video of Viewtiful Joe's Viewtiful God Hand and constantly pausing to check the main "poses"
2) When a value is highlighted yellow, it is a keyframe value. These are essential as they are basically what control the animation. An absence of keyframes will make the animation look weird (or do nothing if you have none) however too many will increase the file size by too much. Make sure to balance out the number of keyframes you use.
3) Copying frames is a great way to speed up the process, however the frame you are copying to will be filled entirely with keyframes so be careful.
4) The majority of animations should use the Wait1 as the basis (or the Fall ifit's in the air) since these are the central animations. Some animations will vary though.
5) The rotation orb that allows you to control bones is occasionally a tad unreliable. Sometimes it will think you did a drastic rotation when you didn't. If this is the case, use Cut (or highlight the values and click Del) to remove these and type a number manually.
6) The Clean option is one exclusive to Brawlbox 0.62b (an older version) and is very useful and important. It not only removes unneeded keyframes to reduce file size, but also smoothens animations, removing the odd "flick" you get with some animations.
