My 3rd Brawl hack review of Shadow Final Version by mastaklo. The top downloaded hack on the BrawlVault gets some much needed late constructive feedback. I fixed the audio so that it should be balanced through both channels instead of just one now.
Summary
- This is an interesting one. Let me first say that I don't hate this hack at all. Infact, I like it quite a bit. It's pretty dang fun to play, but the PSA has a fair share of problems. The character lacks depth proper depth in places and doesn't feel well thought out in some areas. There aren't too many custom animations for attacks and he's lacking some great fundamental moves of Shadow's moveset. To me, he seems far too much like Sonic with some moves swapped around here and there.
Despite this I still feel that it deserves a lot of credit because of the fact that it's a mighty impressive overall pack and if it weren't for the Shadow v0.8 back in March I would have never gained the inspiration to do my own Shadow PSA.
Conclusion, great pack overall, PSA needs quite a bit of work.
