UC Berkeley Events | Brave New Heights: Libraries After the Pandemic @UCBerkeleyEvents | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
SAT 10.02 | 10:10A.M. - 11:00 A.M.
While its doors were closed during the pandemic, the Library remained open virtually. The Library redesigned some services and invented new ones to meet students where they were: everywhere. For example, an electronic course reserves program allowed students access to free online versions of articles, books, and videos needed for their classes, helping them shoulder a great financial burden. Join Jeff MacKie-Mason, university librarian and professor, as he discusses how a global health crisis inspired libraries to reimagine what they do and what the future of libraries will look like.
