Plex has a new app made for HTPC users. Plex for HTPCs is an app built for users who prefer to use full-powered computers for their TV viewing instead of dedicated media players. The approach is a little old school as it harkens back to Plex's roots as a media player.
The new app is built to be navigated using a remote control instead of a mouse. It is also designed visually so that users can see what they are working with without being on top of it.
Plex for HTPC offers all of the features found on other Plex apps including the new discoverability app, though like some devices it does not let users launch outside apps from the Plex app for HTPC
