I have been rewatching Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 film, Bram Stoker's Dracula every Halloween for decades. In that time, I obviously noticed a few interesting details but I also came up with questions. For example, how much real history did Coppola include in the film's epic opening sequence and what real mythology and folklore did Stoker use to create vampire mythos? In this video, I will do a deep dive into those questions and point out other interesting details I noticed in the Bram Stoker's Dracula film as well as the novel it was based on.
