Upon combing through RPs, I've realized there's no RP based around crime shows. So I combined the ideas of Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and NCIS into one big unit. Hopefully this idea goes somewhere.
Premise; Bellerouge, Louisiana is a city recovering after the Black Wars ten years ago, a war against humans and others (Others consisting of vampires, weres, demons, etc.). Thus the Bellerouge Police Department have created the Others Unit, a unit of officers that consists of these beings, to assist in investigating crimes.

RULES
-Character limit; 12
-Disney/Non/Avatar slash Korra/Miyizaki/DC/EAH/Steven Universe/RWBY/Kingdom Hearts/Sonic characters only (A little cheating on the anime part since I am using Sonic X clips, but they're basically glorified cutscenes of Sonic games, so weird line there). Also make sure the character you are asking for has easy clips to access.
-NO ANIME. NO MLP/EQUESTRIA GRILS. NO WINX CLUB. DON'T EVEN ASK (I will allow anime scenes to be used for effects, but that;s it)
-If the movie is a recent release, like it's still in theatres, don't ask for them. Also if the character is in a movie that has yet to be released, don't ask.
Your character must be active in the story for at least 15 minutes or at least half of a TV show season. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when people ask for a character who only appears for three minutes.
-Audition video must be to least 30 seconds to a minute

CHARACTERS
NAME: Shadow Griffiths
AGE: 28
TYPE: Homunculus
ROLE: BPD Detective, Others Unit (Partner; Sunshine)
POWERS/ABILITIES: Hypersonic speed, martial arts skills, energy based attacks (wears inhibitor rings that restrict the energy flow)
WEAPONS: Firearms, energy assaults
PERSONALITY: Having lost all memory of his past save for one image, Shadow is blunt, brilliant, and usually stoic but is confident is his skills. He rarely lets his guard down except around a select few (he has an especially soft spot for Sunshine), often putting his mission and assignments before other individuals; he sometimes defies orders given to him. His time on the force has allowed him to tolerate some Others, but he has a hard time trusting humans because of their treatment of Others; he is also annoyed by their ignorance to the danger surrounding them. Beneath his prickly exterior (figuratively and literally), he can be very good-hearted – it just takes time for him to warm up.
NAME: “Sunshine” (real name is Rachel Seddon)
AGE: 18
TYPE: Gifted Human
ROLE: Baker, part time BPD Detective, Others Unit (Partner; Shadow),
POWERS/ABILITIES: Solar energy, healing abilities, transmuting skills (stronger when the sun is out)
WEAPONS: Firearms, her hair, frying pan.
PERSONALITY: Compared to her more edgy partner, Sunshine lives up to her nickname. She always views the glass half full, even in bad situations. Her artistic viewpoint (she loves being artsy in her spare time) can get her and her partners out of situations or pick out a new clue in an investigation. Beneath her positive upbeat side, she can be very feisty and stubborn when threatened, refusing to leave any stone unturned or any mission unfulfilled, and that determination is one thing she and Shadow have in common.
BACKSTORY: Sunshine is the head baker at her stepmother’s bakery, living in an apartment in Bellerouge, away from the chaos that was the BPD department. But the life of darkness caught up to her when she was captured by a gang of vampires and was held hostage for a week – she would have been there longer if her sun-based powers and assistance from Shadow, who had been caught while investigating and locked up with her, and assisted in her escape. Shadow requested a new partner after the incident, and despite going with several Others couldn’t find the right fit. Eventually he put a good word in for Sunshine with the BPD, and after training in police work, she came on board as Shadow’s newest partner in the S.O.F. unit.
