In this third episode of the Classic Comics Forum Podcast from 2017, I sit down and give an overview of the many eras of Boy Comics. The Lev Gleason Golden Age comic by Charles Biro featuring Crimebuster ran for 117 issues from 1942 through 1956, making Crimebuster one of the only Golden Age superheroes to be continuously published into the Silver Age.
Note: I was doing this off the top of my head, so I messed up a couple issues numbers, especially in the fallow period from #80-96.
Note: my pronunciation of Biro comes from an interview with one of his co-workers at Lev Gleason. I've also spoken with people who are adamant it's pronounce BEER-oh instead, so I wanted to explain my decision.
