Friction Fire Tuesday (FFT) weekly practice.
Using naturally found Eastern Red Cedar in Florida for both spindle & fireboard, Cedar bark as tinder bundle, and an Oak bearing-block with bar soap as a lubricant. I Never had success with naturally found Cedar before (til recently). Most all my Cedar experience has been with store-bought Cedar.
Took 4 attempts before success overcoming a couple minor obstacles, but each attempt got closer dissipating moisture because the dust got less sticky/ flaky and more powdery each time. Overall time was around 20 minutes, so no big deal not getting it on the first try.
