Twenty-nine years ago this week, I had my first violin lesson using the Suzuki Method emphasizing study by ear. This year, the great Hilary Hahn, one of my childhood heroes who also learned via Suzuki, performed newly-released official recordings for Volumes 1-3. It warms my heart to know the next generation of Suzuki violinists will grow up listening to Hilary play.
