The Boulder Symphony is partnering with the Boulder Chorale to create Symphonic Shamans, Paving Paths of Joy. This collaborative project will convey the messages of world peace, unity and freedom for all people through the amazing art of music. We will present Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, who's message of hope, joy, equality and brotherhood from 1824 has continued to ring true to this day, speaking to humanity on all levels with words of compassion and feelings of empathy.

By sponsoring our project you will also become a co-commissioner of the young Michigan based composer Ozie Cargile's 21st century prelude to the Ninth, using all 200+ forces for the world premiere of Song for Humanity, which will be translated and performed throughout the world. It is our aim that these messages of love and fraternity will highlight all that unites us throughout not only the greater Denver area, but throughout the world.

The concerts take place
Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 PM
Sunday, March 13 at 2:00 PM
at the First Presbyterian Church in Boulder
with Interactive Concert Preludes featuring conductors and composer Ozie Cargile.

Money raised will be used to pay musicians, singers and other orchestra expenses, and will also go towards commissioning Song for Humanity and travel expenses for composer Ozie Cargile to part of the Boulder premiere.
