Giant's Mask BA on JP can reach some addresses that are used as flags for various tasks/minigames. This video demonstrates taking advantage of two of these addresses.
In the first clip, I've used BA to set the address that indicates you've just listened to one of Anju's grandmother's stories. This means that, upon entering her room, the appropriate textbox will activate. If you're wearing the All-Night Mask, you'll be able to receive a heart piece. That this text triggers regardless of time means that e.g. one could obtain these heart pieces on day 3, when normally you can't listen to any stories. (A secondary bit controls which story you 'listened' to. See the paste below for details.)
In the second clip, I've set an address that indicates that I'm doing Koume archery in the southern swamp. This means that upon entering the purified swamp, Koume is loaded and she flies her archery path. There is, again, a secondary bit that controls whether or not you are able to hit Koume with arrows. Even if you are able to, the score will not increment.
This also stops your bow from consuming ammunition, as would be the case during the minigame. This means that you can e.g. shoot elemental arrows with no bow or quiver. It also means that you can shoot arrows via action swap without crashing, even with an empty quiver.
Keeta did a large survey of bytes reachable by BA on JP a while ago (docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RAD2ycUMiZXc8zpMhXRhYsONKIfae_SDYiMJtPm-Rgs), and this was helpful to me in finding some of these effects. In this video I demonstrate how its possible to dupe bottle contents in the spirit of Kaztaleks video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkf8za5uQLA), except on the Japanese version. Much like that video, I obtain NWBN while only ever catching one egg.
The principle is the same between Japanese and English: use temp B/stored B to copy an egg caught on Zoras B button multiple times. This is fairly straightforward on the English version, but requires a bit more setup on JP (which is why the video is so long). One large sticking point is that we do not have a quick, repeatable way of getting Zoras B button value written to stored B. The workaround for this is to first copy the egg bottle to Human B, and then make use of H&D3 to repeatedly get temp B on Zora and Goron (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLevXEQAMPY). The first two cycles in this video are devoted to setting this trick up.
By using stored SoT to save while riding Epona, I save Heros Bow (temp B) on Human Link. This means that upon either game load or moon crash, the Human B button will be reverted to the stored B value. Using Glitchesandstuffs observation that the stored B value is preserved through moon crash, we can take Cremia ride as Zora to get the value for zora egg onto stored B. A quick moon crash via day skip then lets us begin a new cycle with a zora egg on Human B.
