Well, it happened again. For the second time in about 5 days, Vermivorous made a surprise appearance, and just like the first time, I failed to bring the proper weapons (it had spawned a few days ago while my friend and I were at the Tundra Express Farmhouse).
This time, V showed up by the entrance area of Tundra Express. I wasn't able to see the Ultimate Badass Varkid pod up because I was taking cover from the spit attacks of the Badass Varkids. I saw the Ultimate pop out of the pod, so I took cover. The next thing I know, I come out of cover a few seconds later and see this monstrous varkid flying around! All of a sudden, my mission of searching for Tubby enemies turned into an Invincible fight!
There WAS a bit of bad news. I hadn't bothered to bring any fire elemental weapons along with me (Vermivorous is resistant to Explosive damage), but I DID have my Fire Badaboom. Since I was right by the ammo machine, I thought I could try to kill it with the Badaboom. Fortunately, the Karma Police had punished Vermi because it was glitching through walls, and as a result, it got stuck by the skeleton's mouth. This allowed me to spam rockets at it without having to worry too much about my health.
I wasn't really prepared for this fight, but I was able to make it through. I feel sad that I wasn't able to record the Ultimate Badass Varkid evolving into Vermivorous, but I think the ending makes up for that a little. It was hilarious to see that happen, and it reminded me of Skyrim!
