I recently looted a nice purple Heavy Gunner Com for my Axton, so I decided to slam my backpack full of weapons and see just how crazy the fire rate would be when Metal Storm activated. I chose to go to the Mines of Avarice because the level is fairly large, and this made it easier to ensure that every weapon was tested.
The com was a max stat Heavy Gunner with +5 Metal Storm, +4 Steady and +3 Overload. I invested all 5 points into Axton’s Metal Storm skill, so whenever I got a kill and it activated, I received a total of +152% Fire Rate and +150% Recoil Reduction (the +32% Team Fire Rate bonus was included in the total).
While there is a specific formula for finding out what the rate of fire would be for a weapon, I was more interested in what it would look (and feel) like to have those bonuses active. It turned out to be a lot of fun, so I hope you guys enjoy the video!
