Man of Low Moral Fiber | Borderlands 2: Captain Blade's Midnight Star- Does it still suck? @ManofLowMoralFiber | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 3 days ago
The Midnight Star is a unique grenade from the first campaign DLC for Borderlands 2- Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty. It is one of the cursed items that is available from side quests.
It is, perhaps, the very worst grenade in Borderlands 2 without the patch. It is both a lacking in power to kill enemies, and its self damage is sometimes unavoidable. It is easily the worst of the cursed items.
The community patch adds a significant amount of damage and blast radius. It would still kill the user almost all the time if not for the Manly Man shield tho. I like that quite a bit.
With the patch, the grenade becomes viable, but is still cumbersome to use. it definitely doesn't suck, it is quite powerful- but only if you wear the right shield.
I am playing with the community patch which can be found here: mentalmars.com/game-news/borderlands-2-unofficial-community-patch
