I just realized that I haven't actually uploaded the original "Still Think Different" by Bop Alloy which is weird cause it's definitely one of my all time favorite hip hop tracks... maybe I'll put it up next week. Anyways, this song is off of Bop Alloy's, technically unreleased, new album called "Remixes and Revisions" (I got early access to the digital copy cause I funded their Indiegogo campaign).
As far as remixes go I can confidently say that 99.9% of all remixes ever made are complete garbage but if there were good remixes it would make sense for them to be from the hip hop genre... and so it is with Still Think Different. A softer, slower and more pronounced song, Still Think Different (Acoustic Version) definitely hits all the right notes. The piano and violin are more pronounced and further accentuate Substantial's cool voice and rhymes. If you've heard the original you'll really appreciate the small and subtle changes here and there. I'm sure I don't need to point them out.
The actual song is 8 minutes long but I don't care for the later half of the song so I cut it out. I think it takes away from the song and what it represents but if you're eager to listen to it I'm sure Bob42jh has uploaded the song in its entirety.
